The 43rd NAACP IMAGE AWARDS 2012 were held on February 18th  and some of our favorite soap actors were up for an award.

The NAACP Image Awards is the nation’s premier multi-cultural awards show celebrating the outstanding achievements and performances of people of color in the arts (television, recording, literature, motion picture and writing & directing), as well as those individuals or groups who promote social justice through their creative endeavors

THE ACTORS who were up for Outstanding Actor in a Daytime Drama Series
Aaron D. Spears – “The Bold and the Beautiful”
Bryton James -” The Young and the Restless”
Emerson Brooks – “All My Children” – Winner
James Reynolds – “Days of Our Lives”
Texas Battle – “The Bold and the Beautiful”
 
THE ACTRESS who were up for  Outstanding Actress in a Daytime Drama Series
Christel Khalil – “The Young and the Restless”
Julia Pace Mitchell – “The Young and the Restless”
Tatyana Ali – “The Young and the Restless” – Winner
Tonya Lee Williams – “The Young and the Restless”
Yvette Freeman – “The Bold and the Beautiful”

Every Actor nominated deserver to win for their roles on the soaps and their wonderful portrayals.  
Congratulations to EMERSON BROOKS AND TATAYANA ALI,and all of the fine actors nominated.
