The show that was the cheap replacement for the number one soap on ABC ‘One Life To Live’ is a very unrevolutionary show. A look at week five of The Revolution scored a dismal 1.54 million viewers (down 39 percent from One Life to Live), with a loss the likes of which the Lord’s and Buchanan’s never saw.

This try at cheap, unscripted, in your face talk show that tries to tell you how to eat, dress, exercise, not eat and pretty up your home has failed mainly because no one cares but also because soap iewers promised to boycott it and they have..There are far too many superior shows on cable that can answer all of these needs if you are interested. It will never replace the scripted drama millions of people have watched for 44 years.

Will the Revolution last 44 months? Absolutely not. Will it’s replacement/ Probably not unless it is a well written soap opera as good as ‘One Life to Live’ was.

Here follow the ratings for this failure by the ABC honcho’s as compared to the excellence of ‘One Life To Live’

One Life to Live – Week of 2/21/11 Viewers: 2.53 million, Women 25-54: 1.3/ 8, Women 18-49: 1.0/ 6, Women 18-34: 0.6/ 4

The Revolution – Week of 2/20/12 Viewers: 1.54 million, Women 25-54: 0.7/ 4, Women 18-49: 0.5/ 3, Women 18-34: 0.3/ 2 Percent Change –

The Revolution vs. One Life to Live Viewers: -39, Women 25-54: -26, Women 18-49: -50, Women 18-34: -50

Need I say more? The Powers That Be at ABC will never admit their mistakes but hopefully a much wiser ‘PTB’ will take control and put them out with the trash that is the Revolution.
