Dancing With the Stars scores big with soap hunk Ingo Rademacher

Great news for soaps fans and especially me. My favorite soap star, Ingo Rademacher the handsome, sexy, charismatic corporate raider Jasper “Jax” Jacks on General Hospital is going to be a contestant on Dancing With The Stars. His beautiful partner will be Kym Johnson and the two of them together will really heat up the dance floor.

Following in a long line of soap stars who have danced their way into the hearts of the fans, like Kelly Monaco the first DWTS mirror trophy winner,Susan Lucci, Cameron Mathison, and JR Martinez who also won a trophy. Ingo can certainly win since he knows many moves from his paddle boarding on the beautiful waters of Hawaii where he resides with his wife Ehiku and his two children. Ingo appeared in an episode of ‘Hawaii 5 O’ last season. We can also remember the night he danced with Brenda on an empty Broadway stage to the tune “The Way You Look Tonight”. Totally romantic and memorable.

The announcement of contestants was made today on “Good Morning America.”. Monday, March 18 at 8:00 p.m. on ABC starts the new season of ‘Dancing With The Stars’ starring Ingo Rademacher!.

Genie Francis returns to General Hospital

In an interview on Access Hollywood last night Genie Francis, the one and only Laura Webber , stated “I’m as comfortable here as I am in my own living room,” Laura is a character she has played strting on the late 1970s.

She will be returning to General Hospital exactly 50 days before the GH‘s 50th anniversary in april. she said this has special significance for one of the show’s legendary character’s. Genie was one half of the famous Luke nad Laura “Supercouple” with the other half of course being Anthony Geary. They reigned as King and Queen of soaps and the original wedding of Geary’s Luke and Genie’s Laura was viewed by 30 million viewers in 1981 and continues to be one of the most memorable soap weddings and pairings.

“I just celebrated my 50th [birthday] and now I’m here to celebrate this show’s 50th,” Genie told Access. “I’m the same age as the show. So, you know… me and ‘General Hospital’ are linked — no matter where I go or what I do in my life.”

Genie also spoke of her working with Geary again “I feel more comfortable working with Tony than really anyone,” she told Access. “We have sort of a perfect coupling. I’ve come close in other shows with other couplings but never the perfect fit that I have with Tony.

“And that’s true like with a really great friend you haven’t seen in 20 years — you get back together and it’s like you have never been apart,” she continued. “It’s essentially the same for me and Tony when we work.”

Genie follows such characters as Robert Scorpio, played by the remarkable Tristan Rogers, the adorable Wally Kurth came back to help mom Tracy Quartermaine, played by the uber talenter Jane Elliot, as her son Ned. Lucy Coe, played by the awesome Lynn Herring is back in her vampire slayer role and just arrived in Port Charles, Frisco Jones, who is played by the wonderful Jack Wagner.

Now one of the most beloved characters, Laura will be back and one wonders who she will be this time around. She has had so many ‘faces’ on GH, the young teen, the rape victim, the love torn woman in love with her rapist, the better half of the couple on the run, the devoted mother, businesswoman and the victim of insanity, all played beautifully by this magnificent actress. We know she comes home with a “secret”, now we wait until Monday when we see head writer Ron Carlivati’s vision of “Laura Webber”.

General Hospital can be seen weekdays on ABC at 2 p.m.

Twitter: Mark your calendar! @GenieFrancis will be live tweeting Monday from 2-3e. #GH50

Ron Carlivati’s and his vision of General Hospital via Port Charles

Ron Carlivati, head writer for General Hospital has started a new mystery and it is developing beautifully into a mix of new GH and the spin off Port Charles. The addition of Lucy Coe, Allison Barrington and her son Rafe are a big part of this mystery and the PC Tainted Love Vampire arc.

General Hospital fans who never had the chance to see Port Charles missed a lot and now have a chance to see what we PC lovers have been missing. Lynn Herring is a jewel in the crown of soap diva’s and will make this journey a fun ride. Bringing back her husband ‘Doc’ Kevin Collins(Jon Lindstrom) is an added delight. He is a charmer, who does not remember his involvement with the wild side of PC. His love for Lucy and the helplessness he feels at not being able to help her are heart wrenching. Allison and her son Rafe add to the mystery and Allison being the victim of…..who knows, is sad and jump starts the new story. Rafe will be left alone and in extreme danger though he does not believe it. Nor, did he believe his mother who kept him hidden to keep him safe. Rafe is Lucy Coe’s cousin, born into a ‘slayer’ family. We shall see where this fact will lead.

This wonderful swirl of General Hospital, Port Charles and One Life To Live are the idea of the mastermind of Mr. Carlivati, a true genius writer who has brought GH back to where it belongs, in the ratings as well as with the fans. This revival of the two lost soaps, in a subtle way, has brought more viewers who miss the characters they were so attached to.

Whether or not you are enjoying this influx of stars from the past, my advice is to sit back relax and give it time. Ron Carlivati will never let you down. Neither will these talented and entertaining actors. For myself, I am enjoying this immensely and cannot wait for more.

General Hospital can be seen weekdays on ABC at 2 p.m.

One Life To Live will soon be seen on The Online Network.
